Austin Racing Exhausts

Quick one for you boys, I was out at The Sun Inn yesterday in Harrogate and an RSV4 with an AR exhaust flew past, I have never heard anything like it except for a GP bike at track side.

I've never heard a bike with an AR exhaust before apart from on YouTube where you can't tell how loud something is.

My question is are the AR exhausts really that loud or was it a combination of a loud exhaust on a loud bike? I don't know what the RSV's sound like standard but if it's anything like the Pannigales I can imagine the engine probably had more to do with it than the exhaust?

They are LOUD !

I had his very first one on my Rsv4 and the sound was incredible.
The newer ones are even louder

 

I've got the Tuono V4 with a standard pipe and they are loud. A lot louder than a blade with an akro.
I personally am not that keen on overly loud bikes so have no wish to change the exhaust, but the V4 does sound mega.

 

Are we thinking the Blade will be much quiter then even with an AR exhaust? I think they look awesome, I have a Yoshi at the moment but it's too quiet.

 

My very biased opinion is the blade sings Kylie Minogue, nothing wrong with Kylie, but it's more about what you would like to do with her more than her voice. Stick a pipe on the blade it's like Kylie sings Joe Cocker, different, but you'd soon get bored.
Now the Tuono/RSV4 sings Jimi Hendricks. Just when you're getting a bit bored with " The wind crys Mary" you cog it down and you're back into " Purple haze"

For £450 maybe I'll stick with the Yoshi which I think is currently playing "I'm....spinnin' around...."

 

The new Akra is as loud as any pipe I have heard on a Blade even Racefit.

 

New Akra? I didn't know there was one?

 

I've got a Austin Racing on mine. They sound unreal. The loudest exhaust I've heard.

 

Mine on idle and a little blip of revs

 

Does turning up the volume make it sound better?

Ha ha no worries pal, I've been out all day so not listened to any of the vids but still no closer to making a decision.

 

Mega loud especially with the main baffle out that's in the long pipe, I've just running the little one in the carbon can...

Just sold my rsv4 with AR gp2r . It's the engine that makes it sound like a gp bike .
Bit of a change to a std blade pipe ;-)

 

Its a very nice sound and not to loud in my opinion. Sounds like a real MotoGP bike...
I got the AR GP1 ( with race ecu ) without DB Killer and its perfect for my bike ( RSV4 Factory etc. ).
