After taking delivery 8 days ago I finally got to start the run in procedure on the new Track Bike. Took a bloody week to get the bits required to convert to Race Shift, but all sorted now and also gave me time to put all the protection on that luckily fitted from the Gen 4 Bike. Little Crew Chief insisted on helping!
I've seen a couple of these on track and they are absolute weapons straight out of the box. Seen one smashed to pieces at Oulton the other week also
To be honest, doing a direct comparison to my 2014 Gen 4 I've found the following. Suspension is a huge leap forward, especially the front end, felt just as good as the Ohlins gear on my old Tracker. Engine is noticeably faster than before. Brakes are mint, but I suspect the ABS needs removing even at my level. Engine is a lot smoother. OEM Tyres are not as slippy as they looked before the first miles done 2day!
The suspension is mint ey jay! Was gobsmacked how good it felt on the road, would never want for more IMO. Lads I know who have them say which isn't man enough for track and mixed views on front.... But as stock supension goes, it's amazing. Handling and brakes are awesome too. With cat and current gearing its properly pants low down though.... But can sort that and on track you'll be up the top of the revs anyway and my God is it fast when the power comes in Rode one back to back with the 1299 and I'd have the kwak all day long

It's making me Green just looking at it your be happy to know the ABS is a simple job to remove but boy the wiring harness is mega massive compared to the old bike...enjoy
Congrats nearly bought a new winter edition one a few weeks ago. Had a test ride booked on one but bought a new bike in the meantime. Will probably test ride one in the next few weeks as I'm interested in finding out how they ride. Enjoy
Very nice. Stopped by our local Kawi dealership with the idea of throwing a leg over one, and do a bit of chin scratching - but they had sold the one they had on display. Also was told that Kawasaki have sold out (apart from ones already in dealerships I suppose) Really like the idea of one as a next bike.
