New Boots - Help STOP the squeak !

    HELP can anyone suggest how to stop annoying squeaking in new boots. ? PLEASE....!!

    Hey Sean, i had the same on mine but i sprayed wd40 or similar and it stopped.

    Is it plastic parts or the leather? Try some sort of neutral leather cream,worked wonders on my work boots. If it's plastic bits I used some of that meguiars tyre silicone gel on my Sidi boots,just a tiny amount.

    It's the plastic bit at rear heel....the bit that slides up and down....missus goes mad when I'm leaving in morning for work....I have to put them on at back door lol.

    I thought WD40 wouldn't be good for them.....

    I use the little bottle of silicon they give you with your new lid. Only needs one little application on Sidi's which are shocking squeakers & they're sorted!

    Yeah I've heard that can work. Just have to get a little bottle of that from somewhere lol.

    Or..alternatively.......
    You could just put your hands on your hips and in a deep manly voice tell her you'll squeak if you want to & to get on with making your breakfast :D

    Don't use WD40....

    It rots the stitching as I found to my annoyance.....

    Oops that's what I used in the end...just washed all the stitching :(

    If you've got a sticking curtain track spray it with a bit of mr sheen and you'll see how good it is on plastic on plastic.......so my wife says;)

    Mr Sheen or if your a cheapskate Tesco furniture polish, lavender one smells nice too :)

    You wont squeak anymore............just smell like an old folks bog :eek: :D

    A little rub of Sudacreme! Gentle enough for a baby's bum so it won't hurt your boots!

    Thanks for all the tips....silicone worked really well...the silicone that comes with your lid....:)
