As any one tried a LED headlight, or can recommend one ? i usually use a HID kit and have one spare ,was wondering should i use it or look into LED bulbs..
Using led bulbs and find them good! So is @raphael and says they're good at night also Cost about £40 from eBay will try and find the link
I've been trying different bulbs , first tried Philips 130% brighter bulbs , Deffo brighter , but not much whiter . Next tried Philips 5k diamond vision bulbs really white with a blue hint , I just want white so next gunna try white vision bulbs 4300k . Makes me wonder if I should just buy those led bulbs if they direct swap
Also do a crystal vision 4300k don't know what difference to white vision is . My understanding is the higher the kelvin the more white the light is , until the figure gets so high it ends up blue then purple if higher still. Are those 6k blue then or white @sps170373 ?
6k is white, 4300k would be blue Have tried the coated bulbs and there ok but unless you go to 100w they don't make much difference These give good white light and spread and are better than 55w bulbs
Problem you might.have with those is the space behind the bulb the the bulb cover which isn't much unless you want to perhaps cut and glue a piece of tube to give you the space needed, ones I've got have flexible braided heatsinks
Probably gunna buy the same ones u got , was worried about the heat . However those heat sinks look mighty big to dissipate any heat generated
Not quite right dude. My hid's on the car are 6000k and they have a slight blueish tint happening, 5000k version is more white than the 6000k and then any higher up the kelvin range starts going through blue-purple (8000+) and doesn't send the light outwards as much lighting the road in front! More for show imo. The 4000k range is halogen yellow territory, it is pretty hard to find bulbs in the 5000k range tho but I would try and stay as close to that as possible if white light is your goal.
A stock oem headlight bulb is 4300kelvin but the difference is the coating the manufacturer sprays onto aftermarket bulbs to give various effects light looking more white or more blue.
yep, been using these for nearly a year now with no bother, my journey to work is sort of cross country so no lighting at all but these light the road really well with a much better spread of light to, much better than the standard bulb
sorry mate i haven't got a photo,there is a small box but it all went in and the cap screwed on with no bother, wouldn't know it was in there
