Hi all. Just bought a RR7 privately, and would like your advice and recommendations for service and repair in the Manchester area.
A good mobile guy would be fine also, as I have a decent workshop for him to use.
Mainly looking for a trustworthy place or person that I can have confidence in.
    Thanks, Colin

Hunts if your close to them, or if you are near bolton way. Russ at Bolton Motorcycle Workshop is a sound and trusted option.

Thanks very much for your replies.
I had visited Hunts during my search for a bike and was a little disappointed with their reaction when I mentioned the experiences of many with eC-ABS equipped bikes. The salesperson told me it was all from a long time ago and a storm in a teacup.
While I accept people can be inclined to exaggerate (me included), I do not believe they are making it up.
That experience put me off, somewhat.

So, the bike is going straight to Bolton Workshop to be gone through.

I recently purchased a bike from hunts and they kept delaying me from picking the bike up. I had to wait nearly 2 weeks they never phoned me back. I ended up phoning twice a day, i am still waiting on the pillion seat which they couldnt find. Also i have to send the service book back as they didnt stamp it. Good bike but poor customer service i think

I collected the bike from Bolton Motorcycle Workshop yesterday and have to say I'm very impressed with the work done.
Russ is a decent man and I'd confirm them as an honest place.

Mines booked in on the 24th and I was impressed when I called in out of the blue to book.

I bought a new 600 from Hunts & after 1st service checked oil & way over full!! My mechanic mate drained it for me....I rang them & got bullshit! Usual story with bigger businesses.....IMHO if you can find a small local independent bike garage with a good rep then take your business there!

    I doubt they will disappoint.
I gave them an open cheque to go through my bike from front to back.
They gave it a very thorough service, straightened bits an elderly previous owner had damaged and put a new tyre on.
No attempt to make work for themselves and treated me like I'd bought the bike from them.

Exactly. I live in Urmston so getting to Belmont is a bit of a fag but I'd not even consider Hunts for anything.
Took me nearly 3hrs on the bus but worth the bother.

I bought my blade brand new in 2009 from Suttons in Tamworth, cheaper than a 2nd hand one in Hunts. And they delivered free to Goole.
NB, the bikes were the same colour and model. Weird or what!
