Whilst sorting out my front tyre problems I had the pleasure of using a cheap front paddock stand that a mate gave me a while back. I wouldn't have used it if I hadn't got a rock solid Abba stand but it still made me queasy every time I looked at it...

So, any recommendations for a decent front stand for an RR6?

If you've got an abba stand you need the front lift arm to go with it.

I borrowed my bosses headstock paddock stand and couldn't use it unless I took the front mudgurd off!?!?

That sounds far too sensible... Would you believe I hadn't even considered that?

    Thanks for the replies.

I've had 4 different stands off that company and they're very good value for money. Solid and well-made. Delivery's quick too.

Definitely buy yourself a headstock stand rather than the one that lifts the front forks. They're a bit squeaky-bum when you lift them and don't allow you to drop the forks out.

Ive got a Harris Stainless steel one, it has nylon pins that go into the holes in the bottom of the forks.

Racman used it yesterday at our track day and thought it was great, he also as he has a scary one that just goes under the forks without any location pins.

I found myself creeping around the garage on tiptoe... like that would make a difference!
