hi guys, After selling the RR5 a few weeks back, I'm on the look out for something newer.... Been looking into SP's and s1000rr but these come with heavy insurance premiums!!!! Been looking at Some blade floating about on bike trader , the legends and BSB (2014 onwards) editions have caught my eye, does anyone know how identify if these are genuine models or aftermarket paint jobs? Is there anyway to find out? Can't seem to find much info about these models? Cheers Hedges
Sinewave is right, dealers had them painted before sale so Honda uk no nothing about them.. Not sure if the colour is even updated on the logbook..
The gen repsol, it's actually all decals, fairing white, nose red, tank orange, everything else u see is a decal
The BSB one was a limited edition of 50 from Honda UK - http://www.visordown.com/motorcycle...bsb-rep-honda-fireblades-for-13499/27843.html but they are standard bikes. I'd be tempted to get something like an HRC or Repsol - panels are more readily available if you ever need them - and the paint is probably more durable as its an original Honda finish. How much of a premium is the SP Insurance over a standard Blade?
Cheers guys, the bikes im looking at have had the paint job done after they have come from honda at the request of the previous owner (1st owner)..... Ian E - the insurance premium was almost £300 more for an SP over a standard blade for me.
The BSB is not standard as comes with Akrapovic and seat cowl as standard. Are recognised by Honda UK as my finance agreement refers to my bike as CBR1000RR BSB Edition
