Well booked my Blade in or the year service with a guy I know that also dyno's and fits the Bazzaz. they are getting back to me next week on prices as they are trying to get a discount sorted. looking at a better price I hope. So will get the service, fit the Bazzaz and a better Air filter. Quick shifter, and Will have Traction control Plus custom maps for my bike. Excited Much
wait a while before getting the bazzaz, trust me on that, i think arthur will also agree, the 'mk2' system will be out at some point this year and its worth waiting for.
HM all the way matey, dont bother with Dynojet or Bazzaz shifters if you like your gearbox how it is. what you want is a nice HM+ shifter.
where would I get more info on this. But If it means the Mk1 is cheaper I'm happy with that to tell you the truth. from what I read and have been told it's a cracking unit
It wont be announced until its ready, but both i & arthur know from vrios sources that quite big changes are due, and it wont make the mk1 any cheaper, yes the bazzaz is good but the shifter is bad, really bad. might be ok for light road use though
Yep I'd wait, or just buy the HM shifter! The HM is the BEST and ONLY one to use.. EDIT I would not use the Bazzaz shifter to stir my tea.....lol
as in HMQUICKSHIFTER :: The Next Generation Quickshifter thing is from the looks of it it's going to cost me if I had that on for the QS and the Bazzaz also
Ok why such a difference with the quick shifters? I know they blip the throttle but how different can one make be to another. is the HM one just better but I gather the Bazzaz won't damage the bike? And would a novice on track, would I notice the difference ?
The HM is the only shifter to use a strain gauge, thus it shifts when load is placed on the gear shifter and not before, 90% of the others use a switch and the shift is highly inaccurate! You program the strain required so the shift takes place at the right time also it cuts the ignition for a perfect clean shift and not the FI system.
Shifters dont blip the throttle, they cut the ignition/spark etc for a set time when it feels pressure on the linkage, enabling you to simply bang up the gears. RE which type, theres several different ways of making that 'gap' to shift, and basically a few motors have gone, well, er, bang after that 'gap' isnt correct due to Bazzaz. most noteable one being a mate with the full set up on his rsv..leaving him with a pretty hefty bill for a gearbox. take a look over on motoforum and search bazzaz to see how many folk have had issues. i was well up for getting the lot but after speaking to a few lads who taught me i wont bother, ill stick to my power commander and the awesome HM+ Shifter. set to race shift it was quite an experience cranked reet owa coming out of barn at cadwell and having no jerkiness when full power upshifting.
looking on the website and must have over looked the blade QS? What prices would I be looking at and who can supply them on here? Discount ???? Can I get one fitted with the bazzaz ?
Speak to Arthur, he can get good deals on them. yes you can fit one with the Bazzaz, its a stand alone unit not conected to any fuel module.
Ok this is getting expensive. Arthur. I will put on hold the HM shifter for now but Do want it. thinking get the bike set up first with the Bazzaz then see how it does from there.
