Opinions plz everyone. Got a puncture today and haven't spoken to the tyre guy I use yet but what would you do if it is actually repairable?
Would you trust a repaired tyre on a bike capable of nearly 180mph. Whether repairable or not I wouldn't. Not worth risking your neck for saving a few ££££'s
When I had my S1000rr I put on some brand new tyres and within 200 miles a nail straight through the rear. I had same conversation with dealer. It was easily repairable but would you trust a repaired tyre putting down 190bhp!! Does make you think, we spend fortunes on our helmets, leathers etc. to protect us in an accident yet with tyres we all consider repairing in order to save a few quid

I might take the opportunity to change to something different then, I have been less than impressed with these sportsmart 2's that I had put on.
I would have it plugged with a mushroom plug and not give it a second thought and just replace the tyre when it's goosed.
I've been repairing tyres since as long back as I can remember and never had any problems. I've even raced on tyres that I have repaired. At the end of the day it's a personal thing. Sent from my SM-T320 using Tapatalk
Have had a tyre repaired twice in the past with no problems at all! Michelin quote that their tyres can be repaired twice
Plug that puppy! Done right nothing to worry about.... If you are worried though, change it as it'll only do ya head in
Yeap, i agree with Jimbo. Fix it but dont go crazy with it and see how it feels. If you dont go on track that is!
Personally i wouldnt take the risk Jimbo, but interesting to know that someone did. When you're next at Brands with Jase ans Scooby?
Jase and cookie mate...scooby gets nose bleed in plus 15 degrees heat lol....We are there in sept mate. Rather it popped on track than road though, always a flip side....
Spoke to my tyre guy and he was happy to plug it, I trust his judgement as he wouldn't let me ride on an unsafe tyre and I have seen him refuse to repair a tyre in the past. So we be rolling again!!
so basically you are saying you didnt trust ours!? A bunch of internet strangers telling you it'd be fine!! ha ha ha
haha your not wrong,it's not the heat though,it's those funny accents, plus you cant get owt moist down der
