So when i bought the bike it had a aftermarket under tail on with shotgun rear lights like so ...

I absolutely hate it, i did ask the previous owner if he had the original but he said no which i was pretty gutted about. Long story short Kevin1 kindly got me a motodynamic rear light when he went over to america, i now need to find a under tray / under tail that can house the standard style light, my options i have come across are as follows.

foot the import charges of the motodynamic undertray and possibly pay around £100 for that style

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360951597...1d2a87057ed&bu=43802664335&cp=1&sojTags=bu=bu

Or i could try buying the original and modifying it cutting the plastic extenders off and bolting a plate hanger underneath to cover the holes.

either way i will need the clips that mount the original light to the bike because the motodynamic didnt come with them they expect you to use them off the old light which i don't have so parts 1,2,26,36,30 (if anyone has these and don't need them lets know otherwise il have to buy individual from honda.

or one final option buy a carbon one from evo tech but it dosent look right i though the light attached to the under tray ?

if anyone can shed some light on this or offer another solution lets know its really racking my brain and i wanna get this new light fitted.

Hi bud. I've got my original tail light, what clips do you need? The two either side of the light?

I'm not sure if I have them still as I think my new light wanted them too. If not they're about £1 from Honda.

I think I've also got my standard number plate hanger at local Honda dealer..

Hi yeah I need the clips from either side of the light to make it a threaded hole.

I was thinking about taking a trip down to my local honda to be honest

What worries me is that when he fitted this under tray that he might have actually cut away some of the battery try that the light actuall mounts to if I'm correct in thinking that. Just wish it didn't have them lights in when I purchased it haha :(

Yeah to be honest I really don't like them either. I can see if I've still got them but it'll be easier for you to phone Honda dealer get it ordered and collect next day mate unless it's in stock now

Does the right include the undertail? Or is it just the metal numberplate hanger?

Bit the bullet and bought the R&G one, 90 quid delivered.

I called up Honda for the fixing screws for the light and they want 20 quid just for the speed nut and screws......

anyone got the original fixings for the rear light?

Spent the afternoon sorting this out, the person who fitted the previous under tail/ shotgun rear lights

they so kindly cut into the loom and cut the connectors off, it went from this mess

to some sort of calm, i soldered all the original connectors back on...

looks so much better :D just need them original clips for it and rear light screws.

All fitted and secured now :)

Honda wanted #26 pound for a few bolts to mount the rear light and under tail .... so i went to B&Q and got them for #4 pound :)

Admittedly they where a bit long and did require cutting but that wasn't an issue :)

Blanked the side holes off for the indicators as the rear light has them built in so used a large faring clip to get rid of the two large holes.
