My 2015 1000rr front folk is looking not too well. It's not leaking oil, but not the normal rings marks usually see on other bikes. Looked around on the web for help without much success. Is this normal?

    Thanks for any suggestions

Looks normal to me. Give them a good clean and they should be ok. When was the last time the forks were serviced?

Hi & thanks for advice. Folks never been serviced as bike is 12 months old, The other side folk has just light rings marks. I did try the coffee cup trick with inserting the side of cup to clean any muck out maybe trapped between the seal.
But if just normal then happy to leave.

This looks handy http://sealmate.net/, but I guess any non sharp flexible piece of plastic will achieve the same result.

All done and fixed. Used ham packaging which I cut out a -C- shape grove. Dropped the dust seal this time and did a spin with the ham packaging, job done.
Also cleaned the dust seal for good measure. Just came back from a ride and all good.
Thanks to all for the advice.

Bit a of a 'Heath Robinson' also springs to mind.

Just got back from a ride this morning and apart from the usual rings marks from both folks and not the veritigal marks. All good.
As RamJam said above, they needed a good clean.
