I cant seem to find a search for this. My Blade is one of them that is burning oil. I currently have 10/40 semi in and was wondering if it will use less if i use 10/30 as the service book suggest? If so is it also semi synth that i need?
    Thanks

I use 10/40 fully synthetic Castrol and I have no oil burning issues. Main dealer also uses 10/40. image.jpeg image.jpeg

Apparently some bikes dont suffer, interested to see if some oils burn slower with affected bikes

Complete myth that fully synthetic makes the clutch slip

It's great stuff... apparently it is good for 10k miles in the blade! (not that I run it to that mileage!)

It's all personal preferance... Each bike is different and takes to oil in a different way it's just finding the one that works best for you not everyone else.
