Re my broken foot peg.......anyone know if you can take the pillion peg off & pop it into front peg setting?
Just as a temporary fix till repaired!

I know there isn't the spring system but looking at it...it seems same width etc. Don't want to mess about undoing it...if it don't work!

    Cheers

Take it off and try it.

I think the rear may be a different width as they have the side plates with the ball bearing and spring to lock it into either position, up or down. Give it a try tho, nothing to lose. Be careful removing it so you don't lose the spring or ball bearing.

....some of us have cooking & cleaning & ironing to do...& making sure our man's every wish is fulfilled

Whaddyamean, I buy what I like over time and I sell all the bolt ons and it pays for my upgrade. S'easy!

Now I have another pile of bits on the Streety which will pay for the next upgrade.:D

Cooking, cleaning & ironing is seriously over rated.

I must have been doing it wrong all these years!
I've never yet sold a bike for more than I paid for it and definitely never sold any tat, sorry, accessories, for more than I've paid.
    Well done you guys ;)

A certain 'person' has lost the spring that goes with the ball bearing you mention above

So now I've come to put the pillion peg back it's flapping open without it! I've asked around my mates but no one has one lying around.

Do you know where I can get one from? or use instead? or is my best bet to nip to a bike garage & flutter my eyelashes :D

When I get home I'll take a look if I have one. If I do I'll drop it in the post.
Message me tomorrow to remind me. Don't get back from offshore till tonight.

On my 600 I actually replaced the front pegs with rears as I found they gave better grip to my boots and felt less like my foot could slip under wet conditions.
You could have a browse on eBay for a set of rear pegs that someone has took off when tidying up the rear of their bike, could be a much cheaper route than buying new fronts

Cheers mate but one a the lads on here kindly sold me a replacement rearset.

We'd put the pillion peg on as a temp solution, but when I came to pop it back I realised the spring was lost! Tbh I'd take the pillions off if it wasn't for the fact my Motech pannier system is attached to them.
