As someone recommended them for ventura shield... £250, thought why not.

Made the effort to ride my new Repsol 60 miles (that has been sitting in the garage for nearly 8 odd months)

It was the worse ride ever! Keeping at 65mph and it is cold on the motorway and still running it in..

    We're did the sun go!!!

Right hand, pins and needles for the entire journey...had checked my pressures they were OK.

Anyway..Great welcome, introduced to the staff in the cafe and given a free proper coffee...[emoji1]

2 hours wait...then an hour ride back to home...

It was my recommendation....sorry for your crap journey though. When having that coffee, ask the guys to see the formula 1 race room. Get them to fire it up, it looks amazing!

What can he do with your sticker, is he going to sort it?

Ah yes..I remember now...it was a while back...:)

Sticker...they said no..so just told them to put the other one on...26 I think....

    Should be done soon..

Also noted some damage to the lower part of the ride fairings...towards the front..belly pan..only noticeble when on your knees.. about 4" long and 1.5" wide..almost like it's scrapped in there delivery van when they dropped the bike off to me..!

The a a$$ hole of the dealer I bought the bike from..just so pissed off with Honda...!! Had so many issues all went unresolved..!

    Anyhow...too late now..

Shame my bike will not look any different after the £250 spend...lol..

    Hi Sam,

Not disputing you or trying to have an argument....but are you certain the scratch was there upon delivery? I can't see a Honda dealer delivering a bike with a 4 x 1.5inch scratch or even causing one in the van. Also that's one hell of a mark for you to miss upon delivery, did you check the bike over on the drive when it arrived? The dealer won't want to know now after 8 months unfortunately as you say and nobody could blame them either.

I would try your best to get the 600 miles done then take it to the dealer you bought from, or the next nearest Honda dealer. Might be labour free if you ask nicely at the original dealer. Book says keep below 6000rpm, avoid motorways and don't let the engine labour. I wouldn't bother having the service done at anything less than 500 miles. Happy riding.

I was recovering from a leg opp when the bike was delivered and my wife had to sign for it..Still i would not have noticed that as i would really need to get on my knees.. still should not have to look in that detail..its a new bike and they should have done these checks!

Still no intentions of going back to the dealer - after the shit service i got from them..

    Anyway...moving on...

Just got back to work, ride back was better - and i could not avoid the motorway to get there..so near 80 miles of it..avoided sitting at 5000rpm on the way back..sun was out..and it was bloody hot.. lol

Played little golf for free, was good and also they showed me the F1 room and a car in action...wow! did not look cheap, but definatly worth looking into if near Gatwick.. iv never seen anything like that before

Race by Design, great service, very happy - well recommended. I arrived at 10am, they said they will be done by 1pm and they were done on time and i was not sitting there getting bored out of my head..

Looks good Sam, SP seat cowl to finish it off?

Shame about the marks then, you are completely right you shouldn't have to check things over but that's the way of the world unfortunately. When I bought mine I told them I have a very keen eye for detail and it has to be bang on or they'll be having it back. They gave me the usual patter that he will check it personally, best mechanic blah blah blah. It turned up with the fuel cap on the piss. It needed a new tank.
