Looks like an update to me, with electronics.... http://www.bikesportnews.com/news/news-detail/honda-unveils-2017-fireblade-sp1-and-sp2-models A decent upgrade though, hell of a lot of weight drop, be interesting to see how it performs. Chasis looks same still though. I like it, certainly a match for everything else reading the full spec, wonder the prices and if they are comparable.
Looks good on paper not fussed on the huge exhaust though but that's easy changed the sp2 looks like a right weapon especially with the hrc sport race or full race kit might see if I'm on santa's good list ie:the wife
On Honda UK site now http://www.honda.co.uk/motorcycles/...ade-2017/cbr1000rr-fireblade_coming_soon.html
no mention of the standard model Just the SP and SP2 version. Hope the standard version doesn't get the current suspension and wheels
I like it but would have to ride it, hopefully the riding position is the same or there abouts, however now I am only back maybe 4 or 5 times a year I will have to keep my 2014....,, will book a test ride on one .....anyone know prices......
I'd be happy with that, as long as engine and electronics etc the same. You'd bin the semi active suspension straight off for track!!
And ditched their own C-ABS in favour of a real one saving 10kg in the process... Just waiting for my grovelling apology letter from Honda that they were completely wrong and offering me a free replacement to a 2017 model now...
I love the looks, it now has all the latest tech and it will be more than powerful enough for me.......who wants a cheap 2015 blade?
Looks the same...iv only done 200 miles in my 2016 repsol... lol was thinking i would px maybe..but think no point.. Worth a watch...think the fireblade looks better.. https://www.youtube.com/shared?ci=lqgMmqmHw2A
I thought the sp was the new base model. @travellingkiwi don't hold your breathe whilst waiting for that letter

From what I've heard. You don't want to know the prices. If it's true Honda has shot themselves in the foot.
