not sure about those riding around UK, but here in the isle of man the rozzers seem turn a blind eye to not displaying your tax disc. I keep mine in my wallet just in case. I would have the tax disc holder bolted on if there was an option somewhere tucked out of the way, but I can't find one. So my question is...where do you display yours?
We don't have to display tax discs anymore thankfully. On cars and bikes etc. Coppers can do a quick check to see if your vehicle is taxed on computers via your registration number.
Here in Jersey we display an insurance disc (road tax was put on fuel years ago). On my 2014 blade I had a cylindrical disc holder on the inside of the fairing, clutch side, utilising the inside of the mirror bolt.
that makes lots of sense, bit backward here! I wonder what pops up on a policeman's enquiry if a Manx vehicle is checked in UK?
if it's registered in the IOM then I suspect they wont have details, like any other foreign vehicle.(only going off the fact you need to re-register a vehicle if brought in from there, and DVLA etc have no records of when it was in the IOM),it's even classed as an import on the v5
jersey gets my vote. RFL should be put on fuel. in the days we had to display the tax, I mounted it on the rear brake pipe to swing arm bolt with a suitable small bracket
