Getting crap of titanium link pipe

I have an RR5 with an Akrapovic system. There is no heat sheild on the link pipe and I now have a big thick black mark on the pipe which has dried solid and feel almost like paint. I can only assume this is off my waterproofs but I cant find any melted marks on them so it could be off some litter that has blown off the road.
How do people suggest trying to remove it and with waht products?

Wd40 & a scotch brite pad does me mate just go steady

 

Use coca cola and a green scrubbing pad to clean most of the crap off.

Then use something like autosol to get it looking shiny

 

I have used harpic power max 10 toilet cleaner. £1 in tesco. Just dab it on with a small paint brush leave ten minutes then wipe off. Might have to go over stubborn bits twice. Watch your eyes and any cuts you have as it stings. Then a quick rub with autosol and like new.
