Is the exhaust system on 2004/5 bikes different to 2006/7 bikes ?

I thought they were different, but Arrow list their part numbers for both models as being the same.Several other companies provide exhausts for 2004 to 2007 bikes.

So can anybody please tell me what the differences are, if any and could I fit an aftermarket full system for a 2004/5 bike to a 2006/7 bike.

    Thanks in advance.

The 06 / 07 blade has diffrent front down pipes . The 04 / 05 pipes will fit the 06 / 07 blade but you have to cut the fairing as the down pipes are wider than the 06 / 07 blade pipes.
    The 06 / 07 blade has a slimmer fairing than the 04 / 05 blade .

And the 06-07 have "In-line CATs located near the righthand foot peg area ,the 04-05 never needed CATs. A m8 has fitted a full Arrow system to his 06 and had to trim the fairing ever so slightly....cant tell you where as I hav,nt noticed it but he told me so.

Thanks Haggler, if it's a trim I suppose it's not too bad. I would like to get a full Akra sytem but not sure if one made for an 04/05 would fit the 06.

I see your not that far from me, I live near Thetford. Cheers

Have fitted 04 pipes to an 07 engine with no problems have the 07 pipes and both look identical with exception of the O2 sensor. Do you have any further info on this Kev?

What can you not get mate a full evo for the 06/07? I thought it was a case of you need to trim the lower right fairing near the rad to fit an 07 evo on an 05? Not sure about the other way round..

4/5 full akra had round can, 6/7 full evo has hex can.

And yeah full akra, hm shifter, open ram air, HRC race filters (sold the BMC's), PCV, Autotune, custom map, Pair mod and your on the money.... :D

    Hi Arthur,
Akrapovic have discontiinued the Evo and the Racing Line for 06/07 bikes. Several retailers have checked direct with Akrapovic and they say they are discontinued and there are none in stock. I really wanted the hex Akra, but unless I can source a second hand one I guess I will have to go with an Arrow system, but I much pefer the can on the Akra and the carbon sleeve looks great on a black Blade..

Arrow list the same parts for 04 to 07 and someone on another forum said the Arrows require the fairing to be cut/trimmed on the 06/07.

There are other exhaust options but I need the system to have a road legal end can.

Many bike retailers are still advertising the Evo and Racing Line, they are only aware they are discontinued when I ask them to get one for me. They do them for the 08's onwards, but that's no good for me.

Yes on some Ti Akra's they ware at the fittings, maybe lack of Akra exhaust paste or just fatigue? The ones in racing suffered some fairly heavy wear at the slip joints, it caused air to enter the systems, I have a couple of full Ti systems and have not had this problem but have had on race bikes I look after but its a different world on track mate but I though I would plug the Stainless pro's and con's.. :)

Yep I tried Calsport and about 10 other retailers, plus three in Europe. A lot of Akra stuff is made to order and if Akrapovic do not have one laying around I guess it is unlikely anyone else does. I had this with my 954 and even asked Akra direct if they could make one to order, they said no. So not much point in asking them now.

Agree mate, I have a mate who wants a full system for his RR7 and there was a full WSB Arrow on eBay last week for 350!!!!! All Ti and with two spare headers I told him and he went off to "think" about it, next morning it was sold, what a KNOB he's gutted now, anyway he does not have funds for a new full system so no chance of Akra even if they did make them however I am a gutted for you that you can not find one! What about Performace Parts? They are the main importers? I have seen them S/H pop up on eBay defo worth hunting one out, there is a round Ti can full system on eBay.com

Cheers Arthur. I have even been tempted to get a slip on Termi with carbon sleeve for the Blade, it looks ace but will not do anything for power and at £900 that's a lot for bling.I could get the Akra hex slip on but it would be purely cosmetic and at £660 it is not cheap......but then at least it would look pretty ;) I keep trying to convince myself I do not want the extra 10 to 12 bhp of a full system....but it's not working.
