I found an 04/05 one on Ebay in Italy, is that the one Arhur ? but it doesn't have a baffle and that might be hard to get on it's own I expect.

With you 100% mate, and its not always about the power of the full system it's also CLEAN! No cat or clutter and the OEM clocks in at some weight! I do like Termi's mate and not many around the qual sometimes can be questioned and I polish loads for people like W M Snells in Alton and even the £2,500.00 systems I have to rework, BUT I have very little to do with Jap/other than Ducati Termi's as I say they are VERY rare imo..you see few propper Termi's fitted to Jap IL4's.

04 05 CBR1000RR AKRAPOVIC EXHAUST HEADERS MUFFLER PIPE | eBay

    Not too clean :(

I have baffels from the Hex can and the full system, the full system is massive over the can/slip on if you need measurements/photos

Cheers Arthur, that one is in the US and the close ups show quite a lot of wear and some damage. Would an 04/05 oval Akra full system fit the 06 ?

Your welcome mate, you have to add VAT and aprox 3% but other than that I order lots of stuff from the US with no problem, shipping is quick and £££ covered so hope they help you out.. :) and its make an offer so well worth a pop.. :) Don't forget you have paypal and ebay protection and if you pay with a credit card with paypal you have that to fall back on too.... :D

Cheers Haggler, I will see how I get on finding an Akra first, then would probably like to take up the option of seeing your mates Arrow. Thanks

Cheers Kev, FW Developments has two available for 06/07 at roughly £1200 each plus VAT.

I also think they might be race use only, but I have emailed them to find out. Thanks to everyone, still waiting for one supplier to come back to me but it is looking bleak, they all think they can get an Akra until they contact them and find out otherwise.

    Thanks again.

    @ Arthur,
Just thought I would let you know I did not have any luck over the ebay Akra in Canada. They took two days to get back to me and it is race only. Also emailed a company in Italy about an Evo and they told me they could order one from Akrapovic, which I know they can't.

Have looked at Arata full titanium system which apparently conforms to BS, but it's is pricey £1300 to £1500. Have heard a couple of reports of their headers for hondas cracking, usually their build quality is highly regarded.

What's your view on arata, if you don't mind ? ps tried pm ing you but your inbox is full, your just too popular :)

    Cheers mate

No prob mate, yep mailbox keeps filling up will sort that now.. The only Arata's I have seen are for 1098/1198 the quality looks very good (had a close look at some in Millan) and I know they spent some time doing R&D to get better than most power from the 1098 so they defo take time to develope the systems and the one I saw was the full monty balance pipes the lot.. I did read a while back on 1000rr.net about cracked Arata headers but did not know it to be an ongoing problem, tbh mate I can name just about all systems that have had problems like that on track.. On the road for the normal folk I doubt you would get any problems with any of them.. Shame bloody eBay sellers add stuff they dont have!!!! Grrr!

I guess you are looking at this one?

Sounds good.. Back to the Akra Evo exfire you say race only? My Evo is race only mate but has a baffel, tbh any aftermarket system is race only.. is that a requirement or yours?

@kevb, thanks kev, I emailed them about the spec, according to them they have a baffle and also meet BS so are road legal. i will ask them for a price but their website definately says £1200 plus vat.

@Arthur, cheers, I will check for 'in stock' with the ebay listers, they often say 3/4 available etc but they often don.t have them. two years ago i paid £1500 on ebay for an exhaust system which the supplier had said he had in stock. I got the money back via paypal but it took 6 weeks.

I want the end can to be stamped with an 'e' or 'BS'. I live in a very small town and regularly get stopped and they often check the can on my bike to make sure it is road legal, plus of course there is MOT time. Arrow do full systems that are road legal, as did Akra and supposedly the Arata is. yep you were right it is the matt black one.....it will not only look pretty but add a little boost to the bhp.

    Once again thanks.
