    Anybody use these?

The online reviews seems about a 50/50 split between brilliant and shite. Complaints ranging from "don't work" to "painful to use".

I just got some. I've had a couple of rides wearing them and they seem to be very dependant on how you get them seated.

First time the sound in my left ear was reverberating so badly I had to pull over and swap them out for my old foamies. Second ride it was the same with the right ear but the left was OK.

They were comfy but I think it'll take a couple more rides to figure out how best to put them in or throw them in the bin.

    The jury's out.

I got some free with my last lid purchase. Agree with @BoroRich about getting them seated right. I have to push them really deep in my ear for them to work, which means I need to use me key then to ferret them back out when I stop!
In a nutshell I've found that....
Get them in right, they're bob on, stop windblast etc & comfy
Get them in wrong & you end up with funny ringing in ear or they don't block the noise at all.
Once you've got the hang of putting them in tho I have to say they're ok

    Ps......

If you want to borrow mine for a try out you're more than welcome....
I once won Village May Queen with the cleanest ears in 1980 so you won't need to boil them in a pan beforehand :D

Great input guys. I appreciate it.

But... I have to come clean. It's not for when I riding the bike. It's to try and drown out my Missus' biblical snoring...

It's like trying to sleep at a crash box club jamboree. I just completely gutted my office so that I could fit a single bed in there just to try and prevent divorce or murder. As soon as I got the bed in there the bloddy cat decided he 's always wanted a bedsit and moved in...

So I need a plan B and I see Auritech do an 'anti snoring' set and thought, who else to ask of the efficacy of such a product...

3m orange tapered fit foam ear plugs! I use them during the day to sleep when I've just come off a night shift and sleep through next doors barking dog

That's the thing, Steve. I've never got on with them. They hurt my ears if I leave them in all night.

These auritech don't really cut the noise out. They just sorta reduce certain elements. Particularly wind noise. Strictly speaking snoring is wind noise :D but I reckon these wouldn't do much to cut that out.

Have you thought of trying those Quies moldable wax earplugs or some customs ones?

That's the problem I have with foam ones. I like the noise attenuation but they give me massive earache if I ride all day with them in.

Yeah there are ceramic filters in tuned for certain frequencies. The sleep aid ones are biased for ruptured rhinoceri stepping on a lego brick in the dark. rather than Akros...

I wondered whether I'd find the wax ones as claustrophobic as I do the foam ones...

I take it you've tried all anti snoring devices on Mrs kpone to no avail?

Have you considered trading her in for something a bit less noisy? :D

I've tried most conventional weapons, reverting to my nuclear deterrent is a last option...
