Hi guys. I've only just picked up my 2004 blade a few days ago.... my first bike... and tonight was my first time driving in the dark... Inot hindsight I don't expect a bikes lights to compete with car headlights... but when there was no traffic around, and no overhead lights on the motorway... I felt very uncomfortable with the lighting from the bike on both dipped and full beam... Is this a common issue? Has anyone else found this and knoe causr amd have any recommendations to potential resolves? Eg I will get levelling checked anyway, but has anyone had to install any mods to resolve? Thanks for any help you can give. Danny

the ageing of plastic means it looses its transparency and clarity so I would check if the headlight haven't gone foggy or yellowish
the internal reflector can also loose its shine. In either case this process is accelerated if higher power bulb is fitted which generates more heat
Phillips extreme 100% are very good. give you more light (for the same power rating) with a good lifetime.
What I cannot comment on is the design of the reflector on your bike which will affect the light output

Look at LED replacement bulbs! I've swopped over and can thoroughly recommended them

Plenty of threads on the led bulbs
