Told sp will be a little more than r1 m but Honda will price it more so 20 k I am told off Honda and 22 k for sp2 base model will be getting on close to 15 surprised not been released taken shows have been on derchef I don't know how he got it do quick lucky man I have one ordered but I think I wil rain check as r1m is no different
This link states SP will be £16,990 http://www.northwest-honda.co.uk/ve...e=Honda&model=CBR1000RR Fireblade#uvseGallery
That link has been around a while - description says :- 2017 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade (Sub £17k) 2017 CBR1000RR Fireblade SP (Sub £20,000) 2017 CBR1000RR Fireblade SP2 (Sub £25,000)
Spoke to bransens a few weeks ago so will definitely be nearly 20 k a little more than r1m prob 19500 as r1 m has gone up this year I paid 18875 so Honda will put a bit on Not released prices publicly but Honda dealers know roughly off emails off Honda peeps may think I am talking shit but you will see that it was off a good contacts
Wtf....are peeps really going to buy at these prices for a bike that looks essentially the same as the old model dressed in new clothes.
I don't get it. Bikes (or bike) sold to the public yet no official prices released, no magazine/online tests yet and no bikes to race teams ? Are they available in Japan yet ?
It's 2017 and I've still not seen a brochure (printed or online) yet. Very odd marketing from Honda - all the build up, but then a lack of info. Has anyone (apart from Graeme) placed an order yet?
You think out of all the manufactures Honda would be very slick with advertising, brochures and pricing. But look how the release was, looked homemade as if one of us filmed it, not a world press release.
Do you think Honda perceive there to have been a negative reaction to the launch? I have only really felt negativity surrounding it. Maybe they are now scrabbling round to try and salvage something from it. Perhaps even rethinking the pricing points? ***complete guess/speculation work and playing devils advocate***
I am perplexed as to why no test ride reviews yet. They must know how the reviews will pan out & if it's a cracking machine then it adds to the selling power!
Every motorcycle forum I visit has a thread or two about the new blade, I'd say that hondas lack of info is actually working very well for them
It's not working for me - I am on my ninth Honda (2 x CBR600, 3 x VTR1000, 4 x Blade) and currently looking on AutoTrader at Aprilia, Yamaha, Kawasaki!
Don't no why your all be so impatient! were only a couple days into the new year! The press bikes will be around at some point in January early February... in my opinion the pricing scale is going to hurt the sales figures! With the base R1 being cheaper and better spec! The ZX10 cheaper and better spec, and finally the new GSXR again I think that's going to be cheaper and better spec... all I can say is the new Blade is going to have to be something amazing to pull sales from the opposition on that basis
It's made my mind up for sure purely on the basis of it costing so much, and being a slightly higher tuned bike with electronics. Honda have had a hellava long time to do something special with this bike, and as far as I can see they have taken the easy route. It'll either be an R1 or RSV4 for me this year. Something a bit different
Totally agree with you on that, the new bike will have to be something special if prices are to be believed especially with the competition being more realistically priced, you never know Honda might be monitoring all these forums and will price accordingly stranger things have happened
£13,490 Honda CBR1000RR FIREBLADE ABS 1000ccPRE-ORDER 2017 - £250 DEPOSIT. Just seen this on AUTO-TRADER.
If I was in the market.... then my money would be on the same Colin, I've ridden the R1 and it's a stonking bike and the write ups on the RSV4 are great too
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201611119673145 "Likely delivery in February 2017. Order now to avoid disappointment. Exact price yet to be confirmed" That's the same dealer that was saying Sub £17 for standard model!
