So about a year ago I bought a set of SP Brembo monoblocks and just been offered a set of Ohlins forks for the bike. Does anyone know if the SP Brembos are a straight fit onto the FGRT813 forks? Do they need a spacer? Or simply don't fit at all?
If the SP brembo match the diamensions of the m4's they should fit straight on with no spacer needed!
Believe the SPs require a small doweling on their forks, going by the microfiche for the front brakes. Think the M4s require no spacer? I've seen a set of M4s mounted to the 813s as that's what the fella did that owns them currently, leading me to believe the SPs fit (hopefully..!) From what I've read (somewhere on here, too), the 813s are machined without the spacer dimensions so fit any caliper (with/without spacers). The 12+ FGRTs were machined with the spacer dimensions so a little more tricky to get calipers to fit.
The 813s were 08-11, SP was 14 onwards? Not sure what model but don't think they are 204s as they require no spacer and the microfiche for the SP has dowelings.
813 were full adjustment ohlins for 08-11 m4 brembo fit with no spacer! 204 are full adjustment ohlins for 12-16 but brembo m4 won't fit unless machined away 5mm but standard calipers fit fine Sp ohlins are just that for SP but don't have the range of adjustment the 813 and 204's have hence why some people have put the 30mm nix kit in them
