Would aftermarket wheels which have been removed from another make of bike fit another bike?

    Marchenisi, Dymag or whatever

I presume new wheel bearings would be needed to suit axle dia and the rear would need a suitable sprocket carrier.

What about front brake discs stud pattern etc?

Some do, some require diff spacers etc.

    Just ring supplier and ask.

Could end up being a complete ball ache.... your not only looking at spacers for wheel alignment but also discs and the right offsets. I would definitely stick with wheels for your model unless you have the knowledge and someone that's got some engineering background.

As others have said, if you can stick with wheels made for you're model then I'd do that.

Dymag used to offer a kit to fit their basic wheel to your model but err, check the price first-my arse is still watertight and squeaks lol

The plan was carbon BST but the Dymags came up for the right money! ... BST's still Rock and having had two pairs on previous bikes they are by far lighter than any other wheel on the market. The look of the Dymags have definitely grown on me.

Saw them on Facebook mate. Up at £1,750 from Doncaster. He started advertising them before Christmas so may be the same set.

Saw your initial post, didn't see manufacture date as it wasn't in the ad I saw :)

He's done well at 1.75k if that's what they went for! He made 1.3k off me alone.

Yeh he claimed they were only a year old!! Numpty should have put that in the add as I would have put my hand up for them, He sold them for full asking price but the buyer is in Norway so it's cost him £150 to post! Still a good saving if they were mint.... my mate had a pair last year and the hubs were well tarnished so ended up having them sprayed up in satin black, by the the time they were refurbished with new bearings and cush-drive rubbers he just about got his money back! They don't ware that well if they have seen a few winters and had some bad tyre changes.

How'd you hear he sold them to a fella in Norway? Bloody mental postage cost, wouldn't dream of posting something like that abroad.

I've never been interested in carbon wheels for a road bike. Seems like a lot of hassle keeping them in good nick, ended up with some 12+ wheels instead.

Spoke to him yesterday from the number on his old eBay add... think it was expensive as he had tyres still fitted plus insurance to cover the cost.
