New fines for excessive speeding from April 24th

    Caught tail end of a news item yesterday, but just checked and it's not a proposal.
    From April 24th drivers caught doing
    51+mph in a 30 limit.
    76+mph to 85mph in a 50 limit.
    91+mph in a 60 limit.
    101+ in a 70 limit.

    Face a penalty of 150% of the weekly wage up to a limit of £1000 on a road and £2500 on a motorway.

    You have been warned.:-(

    Aren't our motorways super safe in comparison to our a roads? Think fines would be other way round.

    just another way to take the money off people who actually bother to try and make something of themselves.... more you put in the system... less you get out. it's a joke!
