I hope this is just a wind up.

I am convinced that very soon we will be regarded as a third world nation in terms of road safety and enforcement.

I've been expecting something like this for a while and so would not be surprised if it is real and actually comes to fruition.

 

Oh there is substance behind this. Someone I know made a valid point though. Our 3rd world roads will be ideally suited to third world enforcement and road safety.

And how can standards be enforced when the standards of those doingthe enforcing are worse than the people they are policing? The standard of driving by some of these Highway wombles is appalling.

 

To paraphrase a quote, you can always rely on the Government to accept the offering from the lowest bidder. Always a comforting thought when it comes to Defence, Security, and the Criminal Justice System.
