£13,200 for standard and £16099 for the slightly quicker R version ;-) Available from May apparently get that order in
Just thinking mate if it is just suspension I'd rather buy the standard model and throw the extra £3k on Ohlins
Biggest difference - Quickshifter; launch control; LED lights either side of the headlight; different colour TFT display; different battery........... Also to be considered, on top of the list price - is the cost of a Yoshimura pipe to replace that dustbin ?
Exhaust change would be standard procedure for any new bike so didn't include that as it's a given. Not sure the R is worth £3k more than the standard to be honest. Buy the standard with the downshift option and spend the rest on suspension and an end can. It'll be a better bike.
The later Showa forks are the same units fitted on the new ZX10R and feel so much more planted and controlled over the early units..... but I hear what your saying.... for me the full beans version is still great value for money and a serous contender for this years best new Superbike.... out the box different exhaust and good to go
My love affair for this bike lasted 3years 16kmiles, umpteen trackdays, broke the bank to build and refine but boy I still miss it now!! The new GSXR is going to be great! I also think you need to look at it with your right glasses... a few mods and she's going to be a ripper!!!
Aye the new forks have great reviews. I'd be changing out the shock anyway, not sure if the forks would then feel as good with a good shock in there as it's best to keep it all balanced. You'd be best part of £17k by the time you added an exhaust to the R version.
By the way I'm not dissing this bike in any way. I'll be testing 1 along with the R1 to see what I'm buying next
Stunning bike mate. Not really liking the new colours for the M this year. Prefer last years to be honest. I like the yellow anniversary edition from last year too
