i been thinking of adding a rad guard since my radiator already shows quite a bit of damage after only 5000kms.

do the r&g ones fit well and more important, will they causse the motor to run hotter or is that minimal?

Yes they fit well and again as you say the increase in temp isn't really an issue. Maybe 2 degrees of a difference at most.

As above I also have one fitted. it doesn't take much for something to go through a Fireblade radiator. Witnessed it twice in the space of a couple of weeks. Luckily it wasn't mine.

IT would be my 1st mod on a new bike... R & G fits and looks as if it was an original fitment...

    i ordered one yesterday...
looking at the marks on my (fairly new) radiator it seems its more like when then if it gets ruined by debri....
the other option would have been a fender extender but i think those look pants.......

I was worried about the motor running hotter as well - but two trips to Italy including some heavy traffic in hot weather were no issue.

Fits well, looks good, reasonably priced and does the job.
Not sure how easy it is to fit as the mechanic did it when the bike was being serviced :D

HI Ive had an R&G rad guard on everybike . Not only saves the rad from stone damage but looks better and so easy to keep clean. Easy home fit but if you get on well with your dealer they will fit for free if purchased from them.

Look on Facebook at 'Racing Radiator Guards' for something different and a bit more interesting. Attached an image so you can see mine. Half the price of R & G also and the quality is excellent.

Stainless or titanium, neither rusts and the weight saving is marginal. I'll take something like mine for half the price and less boring than the R&G one. He'll do any design you like also, so can make it really personal to your bike. Mine is a stock print that he does but I think it suits the rest of the bike as it's the HRC paintwork from the factory.
