Yeah, but that was a big part of the thing. Yes it was less than 30,000 tons, and yes, bits were falling off it continuously and everywhere you went there was an Indonesian guy with a brush painting hammerite over the rust, but I just found it hilarious, but there were only 850 passengers and there was one staff member to every two of us. Surreal trip though, with the arctic ocean like glass, having your glass topped up at 2:00am on deck, in a dinner suit watching the northern lights...
Dissappointed Lozzy . That is the only bit of Titanic that blokes watch the film for. Two hours of drivel waiting for the pointy birds to appear
we are going for long weekend to Snowden, Scafell Pike & Ben Nevis plus a few other weekend trips in the UK usually hiking might go across to the IOM, weekend breaks to Budapest & Ennis, Spain / France bike trip for 12 days and Caribbean cruise for a fortnight
Too busy for me in summer, plus, prefer to go away when our weather goes crap.... Likely look at Dubai somewhere around end of October.
Just booked TT from 1st to 11th June...am right excited now we've got Mr D on the suzuki & Guy with the blade
Taking the bike(s) or flying over ? Don't know if they will be making that film at the TT - haven't heard any more about that, but shaping up to be a classic !
I'm taking bike, booked ferry online yest & also got a homestay room at same time in what sounds like a lovely country house just outside of Douglas can't wait..I'm bouncing off the walls already lol Might see you there for a beer
We are going over 26 th May til 5 th June at some point our paths may cross and I will buy you a pint. We stay in Sulby but hopefully this year we will get into Douglas on a night out !
I look forward to that...& I will buy you a pint back I'll be travelling all over the island to watch it from different viewing points so will probably end up Sulby way at some point.
That is good going to get ferry and homestay. I have ended up with a mix of tent - homestay - hotel. Could do a forum meet up - over scampi and chips somewhere !
D'ya know Mattie..I've found that unless you're stuck rigid with dates & times its easy to get crossings & accommodation even at this time, if you're prepared to check the websites most days. Yes a forum meet up sounds great....especially over scampi & chips.... & beer & more beer
I'll bang something on closer to the time Mattie.........tho ffs don't mention how different the new blade sounds if we've all had a few beers....my days of a pint & a fight night are over
