So the other day sitting bored out of my mind in the dark nights, bike cleaned and polished within an inch of its life, I thought I know I will paint the garage walls first then paint the floor to keep the dust down and get a bit of light into the garage and will give me something to do.

Sat here now wish I never started, I painted the walls with watered down PVA, they said it would stop the paint soaking in, yeh right.

I then mixed up some paint with PVA then painted, to save boredom now on the third coat and still needing another. Suppose this is more of a rant but got to do something waiting for the paint to dry, like the title what a ball ache it's been.

Haha...its never easy mate. Pva is good but it takes longer to dry. Now that you started you cant stop...
Hope it will look good at the end and you'll be happy with the results

Can't remember how many coats my concrete sectional garage took, but it was worth it in the end.

It is a Royal pain in the ass, but once finished the transformation from battleship grey breeze block to white is well worth it.

I'm not allowed to paint the garage. My missus likes the 'bare brick' look. Just as well, five coats would take me the rest of my life.

I'm sure I only put 1 coat of masonry paint on my brick utility room walls about 15 yrs ago & it's still bright white. You blokes have either too much time on your hands or you using it as an excuse to hid from your household chores o_O

But 'tis better to procrastinate and do a job proper, than all this much vaunted multi tasking rubbish.

Example: Mrs Kpone was making shortcake yesterday and drifted off to 'multi task'. Result: burned shortcake.

And she had to sit there until they were done.

Finally finished painting the garage. Was a pain to do but worth it in the end. Looks much better and not so damn dark. Added some mats rather than painting the concrete floor (will save the knees hopefully) :D
