Anyone got a step by step guide on how to fit a plug and play type quickshifter without removing the side fairings?
The quickshifter is in the post and the bike is still in one piece .
Just wanted to gather as much info as I can before I start removing parts.
    It's a healtech time

I removed the lh side fairing before doing mine but needn't have bothered.

Only tricky part was getting the outside coil connectors. I used thin long nosed grips to clip it in place.

Definately not a job id rush to do again as it was fiddly but not too bad.

    Done mine today.
Don't remove the fairings but it's a pain in the ass.
Coil plug 1 and 4 are tricky but apart from that take your time and you'll be ok.
But being honest,I wouldn't do it again

Outside coils are a pain but worth it for the smiles you'll get shifting up through the box

I've done this job a few times now and it's a pain in the arse.

You don't need to take the side fairings off, but it helps to take the plastic off on the inside of the yoke area. That way you can slip the air ducts up and out of the way (after you've removed the air box) and you'll have more room to get your fingers into the coil plugs.

If it were me doing it again, I would remove the fairings just to save yourself the added effort of trying to fiddle in the coil connectors with them and the air ducts in situ. Added benefit is there is no chance of you scratching them in the process either.

Make things easier for yourself - whip 'em off. You'll save time in the long run.
