Nearly that time folks I like to be a good neighbour.... But feck it........it's that time of year to blow those blasted noisy early morning birdie's off their perch
My baffle comes out from day 1. I do love my neighbours but I do love the raw cacophony of a proper exhaust more
Unfortunately my next door neighbours are so posh they are the type who get out of the bath to have a wee. So my baffle stays in. I would get "Would you mind awfully if you could reduce the volume of your motorcycle please".
Been running with baffle in with my Yoshimura R77, and now have a split in the titanium can and the carbon end cap has a hole in it too. Think it's down to long a run flat out n killed it with the heat n back pressure build up !!
My neighbours used to love the sound of the Ducati with a full terms system on with baffles out the whole house used to shake and I used to get comments from to roads down....even got on my pip after a while but didn't sound good going flat out in 3rd to 4th.....
I live in one of those fan shaped cul de sacs with six houses in it which forms a creditable acoustic amphitheatre. Out of the six of us, only Mrs kpone and I work. This of course means that whenever, at whatever time I wheel Bill out onto the drive and let him do his cold running oil bath before a ride out, curtains twitch fast enough to create their own little weather front. Even with a bog standard can. Never let it be said that I'm an anti-social neighbour though. Why just yesterday morning while I was working in the garage, I was entertaining them all with a Tom Waits medley from the sound system...
ha ha - old couple next door were sitting in their front garden having a cup of tea. Fired up my Akra with the garage door open and next thing I know they've gone inside! Went round to apologise - but they said they didn't mind. That's good neighbours!
Never had the baffle in with the akrapovic, the old racefit mind you I did on early morning ride outs
Ive got a two brothers black edition on my 2008 bike. It has power tips, instead of baffles, so you can adjust the decibel level. Higher the tip, lower the & more legal the decibel level. with the highest one on, it only just passed noise testing for Snett track day lol. I must be weird or something, because I prefer the sound with the lowest decibel tip in, over the full removal.
