My dealer has offered me a brand new Black blade for 10,990. This includes the 1k Honda sweetener. Deposit will be 3196.50, and the 23 months of 249.00 per month, on a 0% APR. At the end of the term I pay off the balance of 2050 and keep the bike. He's got one new one in the compound. It may just have my name in it!! Good deal?
Not bad deal as 0% but seems stupid to have a £2000 lump sum at the end! Might as well put that into the monthly payment if you can afford it
Done the same but mine was £11700 but loads of goodies put on it by the dealer, I wanted the last ever 1000cc bike with no electronics non ABS non euro 4 blah blah I love it
Nice one mate, congrats. What goodies did you get? I added some bits, but the dealer charged me for them.
extended warranty to 3 yrs, akrapovic exhaust, black gille levers, black gille rear sets, dark screen,r&g tail, seat cowl, carbon rear hugger, carbon hrc tank protector think thats it ha ha ha
Has to come with ABS otherwise you won't get money for it if you are going to sell it in a couple of years.
I disagree look at the bikes on ebay 10 year old 07 R1 its the same money now for what I sold mine for in 2008, the ABS on my 675R is a pain in the arse, non ABS for me last of the real man bikes
Im just so pleased to be joining the 'thou' club and getting onto a FB that I care little for the loss adjustment in two years. Please take that mildly I am no way trying to exhibit any arrogance., life is too short to worry about minutiae. peace-
The faults and disadvantages of the c-abs aren't going to be forgotten about....there are 1000's of internet posts about it that will live forever more. My suspicion is people will be looking for the non abs models of the outgoing blade in years to come.
I know that a lot of bikers living in the past. Soon or later the insurance companies will charge more money for bikes without ABS. Just wait and see. Also, non ABS bikes are much cheaper and at the end, it's always a matter of money etc. I know that people had problems with their C-ABS System but I never heard about problems with the Bosch ABS System! And please, don't give me that joke about "non ABS bikes are for real men"...... http://www.therideadvice.com/abs-motorcycles-vs-non-abs-motorcycles-need-motorcycle-abs/
100% agree ABS is the future and the Bosch system is fantastic (I have it on my other bike). But when buying an outgoing model I don't think non abs will be a problem for resale or insurance in the future.
I will happily pay more on my insurance premium than play Russian roulette with my life on a 2009-2016 Fireblade ABS system.
