Hello to all you bikers, Been browsing this website for a while and finally decided to sell my cbr600rr which i loved and didn't want to get rid of. A long list of customisation done to it. Until i jumped on a Fireblade, i never looked back. Below are pix of both the bikes, long list of planned mods for this one too. One of which i am most excited about is a custom fairing kit, one off. Don't want to burst your bubble, hope you didn't opt for the C-abs blade? Having braking issues last night with the abs light flashing. Researching problems. Hope it's a easy fix?
Hi & welcome Sorry to hear about the abs issue, I've got it too has have had many others. Big thread about it on here. Usually involves an expensive bleed & doesn't always sort it! Honda deny owts wrong! Anyhow check out the thread it's on a sticky somewhere & all will become clear
Great! Should of went for the non abs version. Sounds like a very common problem. Honda won't take responsibility for this, just like the oil burning issue with the older models.
Yep afraid so...some of the lads have ripped the system out! If you're handy with a spanner theres a copy of bleed instructions one of the members did somewhere on here. I downloaded fir my mechanic. There's various instructions posted up...I'm told it's a 4hr + job at least. Be aware if the system fails when you're ridding & brake comes fully back to the bar, you need to release quick & reapply, not pleasant braking from a good speed let me tell you!
Doesn't make me feel very confident with the bike. Have a planned road trip to Wales next month and was hoping to put her on track this year too. Doesn't look promising. Better take her to a specialist to have looked at. What a bugger. Thanks for the link. Will print off for an indy garage to look at.
