Hi, Since I prefer not to ride with backpack as much as possible I was thinking to buy the Kriega Drypack. I saw their mounting videos, but the 2017 blade has very small and tight slit under the rear seat, and since my son rides with me frequently I will have to mount the "TANK - US DRYPACK CONVERTER" as well. Can any one share any mounting experiances of the "US-30 Drypack" and /or "TANK CONVERTER" the on the 2017 blade? Wrote twice already to customer care at Kriega.com, never got any response
I have an older Blade, but agree with your backpack theory. I use one only as a last resort or for short journeys. In the mean time I now use a US30 on a luggage rack as it's quite big. Possibly too big for a tank too, but if you're near then you could size mine up.
I prefer to run a us20 and a us10 on the top of it for the tail rather than the us30. Gives you a few more options and you have less of the bag hanging over the seat and onto the sides/back of the tail fairing. I'm not a fan of tank bags at all but in a pinch I run the tank adaptor with either a us10 or us20. I hate having a bag in between my arms and struggle to get around it when moving around on the bike but when you need the storage it's great to have the option. As far as mounting goes I doubt you will have any trouble with the mounting kit. They are super easy to adapt to the bike. I've had mine on all sorts of mates bikes.
A US30 on the tank may be too big. I've used a US10 on my 07 tank and it affected riding position a bit.
