I have paid a deposit on a ZX10r to dealer, my Blade was going to be traded in against the 10. I have now sold my bike privately so I have a bit of cash maybe to find a better deal elsewhere. Is the said deposit refundable if I change my mind on the purchase? It was never stated on the phone in any conversation that it was "non refunadable" and in the invoice I have been emailed it doesn't state anything. I would just add, I am totally happy if the deal goes through as it stands I am just thinking I could poss get a better deal somewhere else. it is a used bike
Did you sign anything, or respond to an email etc setting out the terms? If not I would suspect the dealer should be willing to refund the deposit, however if they want to be difficult about it you could have some fun and games getting your money back. Did you pay using a credit card, if so you may have extra help from the card company?
Debit card and was done over the phone I've got an emailed invoice but I've personally not signed anything or replied to the email. Blades Kawasaki in Swindon Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I doubt it is non refundable. They should have made you aware of that fact if it was. Ring and ask them, they may even knock some more off the asking price to stop you going elsewhere.
Simple answer... is up to the dealer! If they have taken it off sale since you put a deposit on then very unlikely! Usually any deposit from dealers are non refundable if you have a change of heart! Not sure how it stacks up if you haven't signed anything mind! But buy paying a deposit you have entered into a contract! Signed or not signed
It's fair enough, like I said I'm happy with the bike, the price and the deal in general. It's just with the cash from the Blade sale I thought I may have a better bargaining chip without a px Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
