What rearsets are you guys using? Just looking for opinions on Gilles, Light tech, R&G. Or is there anything less expensive that's any good and of a reasonable quality? The more I ride my bike the more I feel I could benefit by by making adjustments. Your thoughts welcomed.

I'm interested to the response to this, are they really worth £££'s do they make that much of a difference?

Worth every penny. You don't realise how crap standard ones are till you have a decent set of aftermarket units ...

These lightech's do look the bollocks, do they give a reasonable amount of adjustment?

I am using SES rear-sets and find them superb. They have a good foot peg that is not too short, like many others.

How much did these cost bud. Like the longer pegs to accommodate my Fred Flinstone feet!

Yes they do ... however I think the Gilles VCR's provide more adjustment and are nearly £200 cheaper!

A lot of people just buy them for bling purposes and don't bother to spend time setting them up. I spent a lot of time setting them up and fine tuning ... it made an enormous difference to feel and comfort.

Not cheap, but worth it. Parts can also be bought separately in the event of wear and tear.

Thanks Mr OCD, I also like the fact that the gear lever is incorporated into the rearset and that the pegs fold up. On the other hand the Gilles vcr's have a pretty neat adjustment mechanism. I'll ponder over these two for now.

The SES sets cost around £250. The fixed foot pegs are excellent if you want to strip the backend to service the suspension linkages, et cetera.

Pegs folding up is neither here or there... some say they offer less protection if the bike goes down as they will fold in ... others say fixed could dig in and flip the bike...

Both the Gilles is loosen / remove one bolt for peg adjustment . If it helps I can take some close ups of mine ... they have been on the bike a couple years now.

I got the GB Moto rearsets on mine. Honestly, if i did not get them for free I would not have bought them.

Don't get me wrong, they are great and are adjustable, but on a road bike, you need to make some sort of bracket to make the brake light work, also, no return spring on the lever. I have ran my bike without return spring, and it does not seem to be and issue so far.

    They look great tho :)
