Hey So, I know that for maximum gains and best fuelling, a custom map is the way to go. What I'm wondering is, will gains still be experienced running a full system WITHOUT a power commander or similar, and will the bike run ok? My last (last) bike (RSV 1000) had a full race system on it for about a year before I eventually fitted a power commander. It ran absolutely fine without it, obviously a big improvement once it was custom mapped later on. The reason for my question is, it's a big expense to do both at once. I'd like to do the same as last time - fit a full system and then fit the PC5 next year. Bike is a 2013 by the way. Cheers
I stuck a Racefit Edition on my 2015 model - still not got round to fitting a PC Runs fine; loud, but fine
My 2005 Blade had a full Micron Serpent system on when I got it, no power commander ran great, only fitted power commander for smoothing out the fuelling at slower speeds around town(was quite jerky). The previous owner ran it for 3 years with full system before me, he had it dyno'd when he first fitted it just to see what he got, I've got the printout somewhere, It was around11bhp up on stock, no power commander. Not to mention a 6kg weight saving.
Definitely agree there. I had my 2007 remapped recently at Hilltop and they mentioned the EURO4 maps are very lean in places and consequently the timing is moved to suit.
Slip on. Not sure if they make a full system...but mine is simply a slip on connection. EDIT: Doh! didn't see sps170373 reply ^
