In the market for a TT legends blade, got cash waiting. There's a couple on ebay, but they're much higher mileage than I'd like. I'd prefer the later model with the multi-spoke wheels, if possible. Not bothered about accessories, prefer the standard can to any other etc.
Around £7500 I realise that's maybe pushing it for a lower mileage model with the multi-spoke wheels, but it does seem achievable and the seller is welcome to keep all the fancy bits and sell them on ebay. That's not the paint job I'm after, by the way (although still nice). This is the scheme I want, although this bike is too high mileage. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2013-63-H...479749?hash=item3ae31dbb85:g:2Z8AAOSwuMZZCmAG
Yup. Alternative is I just get 'any' CBR1000RR and get it painted, although getting a price to do that seems problematic. Emailed a few bike painters and none have come back with even an estimate.
I'll give them a try. Spookily enough, Bike Paints in Scotland (I'm in Aberdeen) came back just now with £1400-£1500 + VAT More than I expected, so maybe have to rule out that option.
SprayBay are the company who paint john mcguinness's bikes and they also done the urban tiger paintwork for Honda. I would guess their price will be similar if not more expensive than your current quote but definately worth asking.
If they're all about that money, it would mean getting a CBR for around £6000 The ones I've seen for that are too old or too high mileage. There's no hurry, I'll just hang around until the right TT legends bike comes up.
How about I sell you an immaculate 2015 fireblade with no fairings and just over 1k miles for £8250 and you slap these on for £350 Full kit INJ Fairing Bodywork for Honda CBR1000RR 2012 CBR 1000 RR 1000RR AC So you get a virtually new blade in the colours you want for £8500?
I've fitted those Chinese bodykits to a neighbour's GSXR600 twice (he can't stay on the thing). They're decent enough, but not OE quality and not something I'd entertain.
Bike paints in Scotland painted mine mate, did the subframe the lot. Looks great even if I am biased I paid just short of 8k for mine on a 13 plate with 6k on clock. They're out there it's just finding them. When i rang the place with mine for sale they'd had 9 people apply for finance in the 4 hours it had been live on their site. Luckily i was cash sale and they'd just opened for the day so i got it sorry not selling it just thought I'd give a bit of hope
https://www.donedeal.ie/motorbikes-for-sale/honda-tt-legends-hrc-fireblade-cbr1000/15790971 It's in northern Ireland but looks clean and low mileage
Try Chester Honda. That's where I got mine from in the paint scheme you want, they have a sprayer who does custom paint jobs
Bike paints quoted me £1500 + VAT to do it. Dream machine £1386 including VAT. No denying Bike Paints are handier for me, but that is a whopping £414 difference..... A moot point now anyway, as I got fed up waiting for a TT legends CBR to become available and bought an as-new 2013 GSXR1000 in the millionth edition colours (designated GSXR1000Z). £7600 with 3000 miles on it. Paint job reminiscent of the RGV250M, so I love it.
There is a fairing just appeared on Ebay but it is for the 2008 to 2011 model Blade http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2008-2012...NE-COMPLETE-TT-LEGENDS-FAIRINGS-/362034153149
