Well, today was the day and managed it spectacularly at about 10mph on some gravel!
Was rather annoyed as I lay there watching my bike slide along the tarmac away from me!

So... if anyone knows of any fairings going! haha.

Plus side, could have been worse. downside, was still well enough to get to work :(

That sucks pal, but like you said, at least it was a low speed off and you are okay. Bikes can be fixed :)

That surreal feeling as you and the bike part company and as the bike slides away you start the ancient mantra of "don't flip, don't flip." Main thing is that you walk away.

May be worth getting some chinese fairings and waiting until someone turns their road bike in to a track bike and sells their OEM fairings.

Sorry about your off. Hope you are OK

Something I was only discussing at work yesterday about a campaign in respect of gravel and loose chippings and reducing the possibility of crashes occuring or at least holding te local authority to account rather than allowing them to hide behind their statutory defence under the Highways Act..

The idea found favour with everyone. So watch this space, but your experience might be helpful if you would be happy to talk to me or one of my colleagues more about it at some stage to be used in a blog or article?

And it would not be a tout for business as we do not deal with damage only crashes :);)

Yeah, no worries pal. Not a lot to say really apart from the obvious. But happy to help. That been said, would have been a hell of a lot different with oncoming traffic!
