Anyone !! Riding home from work went to take over hit the middle of the road and my front wheel felt wobbly , like it was loose , same on the return to the right side of the road , when I'm turning it's like the steering wants to turn too much too quickly and the front wheel feels loose , I ride this road daily and it's never felt like this , kinda feels unstable , any ideas ?
I'd be checking both you suggested tbh, I'd have thought head stock most likely as surely wheel bearing should be constant not just when turning, whereas the head bearing will settle while travelling but be upset on turning if that makes sense. The only time my head set beating went i could feel it clunk back when stopping on front brake
If wheel bearings were worn enough to cause your symptoms I would expect them to be making a horrible noise. So I agree with Gav its most likely headstock.
Cheers guys I'll look into it the reason I though the front wheel bearings is the front wheel doesn't spin as freely as it did , makes pushing it a bit harder like the brakes are in a touch ?
Ah that's a good point I've been using it all winter so there's probably a shed load of gunk up in there
