    Hi all,
just changed the oil and coolant, took the thermostat off to see if working... as the bike was running hot. it seems to have not done much as it still runs quite hot... gets up to about 82c pretty fast then if in slow town traffic goes up 90 - 94c. fans do kick in when stopped at 102c.
just wondering if this temp is normal, what do you get on your bikes?
    cheers

I have noticed the same temp ranges on my my 2005 blade and was gonna query the same thing..........however if the 2010 does it then I can only assume the temp ranges and characteristics are perfect if they are still the same 5 years on!
at least my mind us at rest fir now!

82 is on the high side for normal running temp. I get 80 at high motorway speeds in warm summer weather (30deg). In winter, anywhere between 75~78 but in stationary or crawling traffic, the temperatures goes up quickly to where the first fan kicks in.

BTW I have a rad guard which could affect the airflow.

Temp ranges havn't altered much over the models and years. My 16 blade shows high 70s to low 80s on a run, quickly rises above 100 in traffic but fans do kick in at 103 and 106. I found it a bit worrying at first but apparantly its normal. Temp soon comes down when on the move again.

Quite warm here today...mine was running around 77 on the national speed limit's, then into the 80's for the lower speeds & quickly into the 100+ on urban crawl. Always been same since ive had it.
Mines an 11 with a rad guard
