... fix one then get another.

Noticed this noise this morning ... video here:

Initial thoughts are baffles rattling in the Akra ... any suggestions before I take a look later tonight?

Bloody bikes! One more thing and I'm selling it!

(excuses state of it ... riding in the rain does that :p)

AA bloke has been out ... we took the baffle out and its better but still engine noise from the right side.

    Suspect CCT?

Bike has done 30k miles - never been changed.

Sounds a bit heavy for cct, would help if you aimed the camera at the noise instead of the rear tyre

Will put up another video later... was at rear tyre as it seemed to be the exhaust making the noise ... pulling the baffle out has calmed the noise down a bit.

But defo some noise coming from the clutch area. Bike is a little vibey as well when riding it as well but otherwise rides fine.

    Yep!

Had a few people listen to it now ... every single one said CCT is shot!

    That's first job tomorrow ...

How many miles has it done?

Have you tried better ear plugs?

By the way, my CCT went after 25k on my 14 blade, still experimenting with a manual one, needs a tweak after my recent 2,500 mile trip round France, need to wait 'till next week to see how that goes.

You'd be surprised how loud a cct can be.... And for what £80 and an hour of real fiddly work.... It'd be the first thing on my list.

Particularly at those miles anyway as can go from 8k ish anyway

It sounds like a tractor or Ducati! :D

CCT has been ordered - here tomorrow :) ... and will fit tomorrow and learn some new swear words!

Just how much of a sod is it to replace?

Lol. It really doesn't sound like that at all.

It's definitely timing chain noise. As soon as you pick up the throttle it goes ...
