Whats that bike you could be tempted to ditch the blade for at the minute? Or is the blade doing everything you need? Before buying the blade i had a real hankering for an rsv4, cant beat the sound and great styling to match. Was also very tempted by the 2015 shape zx10r but insurance was far more than the blade at the time. Would definately consider one of those or the new one. So whats yours?
Only bike I'd change to is the latest rsv4, although next years bmw s1000rr looks to be a good upgrade
Just traded my CBR in for a GSX-S1000F. Did not dislike Honda, but the price for the new Blade (the nice SP version) was too much for me. There are lots of nice bikes with big price tags on them - which would all be very nice I am sure. This Suzuki ticks the boxes, although it needs a couple of mods, and it has an affordable price tag. It looks all right as well. Mulsanne Straight v2 resize by 660 Mattie, on Flickr
Without a doubt, I'll be moving onto Ducati Diavel next......stepping away from super sports, but to something that can provide best of both worlds.
What has been changed for next years BM? I know a couple people on rsv4's, both say that they are such an occasion to ride. My closest bike dealership happens to be an aprilia one, maybes its meant to be
If I could afford it i'd take the GSXR-R. Looks great, and has that auto blipper which is getting great reviews.
I wanted something with a bit of character this time round and like many fancied the RSV4. Though too many stories from friends about reliability issues put me off. Only other bike in that sort of league for me was the R1. Actually just went and bought 1 without even testing it. (Though never tested the Blade either to be fair).
http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/2018-bmw-s1000rr-spy-shots#page-2 Quite a bit from the looks of it, total restyle with odd lights gone, new chassis, engine refinements and smaller in size
Like others wanted an RSV4 for a while ... just couldn't afford to risk reliability issues due to my reliance on a bike for commuting ... so I went with the next best thing which is a big bang R1 ... I tried all the others and felt the R1 was the perfect compromise between a bike that works on the road, is affordable and has a bit of character with a nice soundtrack. Everything else felt too track biased in my opinion. The blade was epic, but after 3yrs it was time for a change.
Yes it's a dream on the roads up here mate. Really does handle like a 600 and goes and sounds amazing too.
Really struggling with this tbh, I've test rode quite a few in the past couple of months and I can't find anything I like as much as my Blade, it's only coming up for 3 year old so I may just keep it a few more years and bling it up
Swapped my blade for an R1. loving it so far...not keen on new std blade but love the SP, however thats to expensive for my taste, so might be another R1 or new Gsx-r next time...
My mate was given one for a few days whilst they sorted his superduke, best bike hes ever sat on and hes had some machinery over the last few years. Enjoy and get some pics up asap!
