2006 blade help needed

    Hi can anyone help me I've a 2006 blade and have come off it damage as youd expect all down 1 side I'm wondering if the insurance write it off what would I expect to pay to buy it back as it's a great bike with only 15k on the clock thanks for any help

    Bad luck mate, hope you're ok.
    Re a repair, the insurance company may wright it off due to cost and availability of genuine plastics, but if you go for Chinese copies then budget for £300-500 for full plastics, screen & mirror(s) depending on exactly what's needed.

    thanks mate ye im fine ye I've been looking at them thats why id be interested in the probable buy back cost absolutely love the bike so defo would look at a buy back

    As long as there's no structural damage maybe it would be a good opportunity for a full race rep respray?

    Some of the better paint shops will airbrush logos etc so would look better than factory.

    Full respray including wheels is usually around £500.

    Keep it rubber side down bud.
    Good to hear you're not hurt.
    Bikes can be easily fixed.

    You might be better not involving the insurance company at all - you'll have to cover the excess, the buy-back cost, the repair, the 5 years of increased insurance premium and then the bike will be recorded as being written off so will be worth less even if you get it back to pristine condition.

    +1 with the, ''forget the insurance''.... If you can fix it for 500.00p I think you'll find that's the cheap way of doing things.
