title says it all really. I've been a long term lurker and ride a GSXR750 k8, and have always wanted a blade but never got round to doing it. I'm seeing a few 2010/11 plate bikes and wondering if there's much difference between them and the newer, more expensive 2012/13 models?
Yes 2012 was a big update - fairing, headlights, wheels, big piston front forks, balance cushion rear shock, clocks etc.
Thank you for the response Ian. There's a couple of nice 2010 bikes currently up for sale and a couple of 2012's they look to be fetching circa £1500-2000 more for the 2012, just wondering if it worth the extra.
I'd say 2012 onward's is worth the extra. I have had 2008, 2012, then 2014 - I much prefer the suspension on the later bikes. As well as the better spec you are getting a newer bike for your extra money (which will then be worth more if/when you sell it). It's a good time of year to buy - you should be able to get a winter bargain
I've got a 13 plate and the suspension is great for me(16st) perfect out the box, the wheels sold it for me over the older version they look great. My last bike was a 51 plate r6 so obviously alot faster than that, but the power delivery is about perfect and it's very easy to ride bloody fast. They changed a fair bit from 11 to 12 models so if you've got the extra to play with I'd say definitely worth it, I love mine not even considered changing it or any plans on doing in the distant future. Quite surprised how good it is on fuel too!
