    Finished!!!!

Not bad but not perfect. The air ducts aren't perfect but it'll do for my needs. Got out for a blast last Thursday night but didn't stay out long as it was minus 6 here...

Oh, and as you've noticed already, the paint on the screen doesn't quite line up with the fairing. I could have messed about to get it closer but i was bloody half frozen...

    Nice!

Just some words of my experience, as i removed my Chinese fairings at the weekend and went back to OE. I didn't notice most of these things until i took it apart. The problem areas I had are as follows:

    1) Belly pan was beginning to melt due to the Yoshi pipe sitting slightly differently from stock.
    2) Water ingress into fuel tank catch tray. I believe due to the rubber seal around the filler cap not sitting correctly, water got in and was starting to corrode the tank around the bolts.
    3) Fuel tank cover rubbing on actual tank (not bad but warn the paint through so need to keep an eye on corrosion).
    4) Fuel tank cover lugs under seat were snapped.
    5) Headlight cowl lugs snapped
    6) Under tail 'plate' 3 out of 4 lugs snapped
    7) Tail fairing rubbing on sub frame

Nothing too bad but keep an eye out, especially on the tank plastics - fortunately, its the easiest bit to have a look at!

Hi all, I'm new to the forum and have just realised I've bought Hondo's Rothmans rep! I can vouch for the kit, assuming it is the same one. Fits perfect and looks the nuts. Just toying with the idea of powdercoating the wheels white and getting a gold rearset. Having trouble with pic upload but will post pics soon.

    Look forward to seeing yours

    Good luck

Welcome to the forum mate, i'm just waiting to get a few parts before I fit my fairing kits so I don't have to keep putting it on and then taking it off again.
I've heard the quality is quite good but I don't want to push my luck!

I've had a set of Rothmans fairings on my Blade since last summer - they look good from a distance but had the following problems fitting them:
    • Almost every screw hole was wrong size or needed larger screws to fit
Tail unit has never fitted right , but the 08 is a bastard to fit, undertray fitted fine
bit more care would have fitted belly pan better to side fairings
LH air ducts just don't line up / fit correctly - major time with dremel may have sorted
I fitted extra bolts where side fairings and belly pan meet as did not trust the lugs to hold at high speed (since tested at 180 mph)
Tank cover bolt hole would not line up
Lug on tank cover snapped (now held with duct tape on inside)

Overall they have done the job well, refreshed a tired looking bike but without a Dremel I would have been stuffed

Almost tempted to get another set and sell this set on ebay for £250 - £300 as at that price they are cheap trackday fairings or somebody may have had an 'off' and need some, If I fit a 2nd set I'd do a better job.
