Went out a run today in the car, to check out the roads I usually ride, to see how they were holding up this year. I always do this just incase I find a pothole in a bend that could catch me out on the bike. Anyway long story short the roads are still in great condition and I managed to get a few pics of the scenery I normally ride in. Hope you like As you can probably tell it was baltic out. Bbbrrrrrr !!!
It's down between Moffat and Selkirk. St Mary's Loch. Excellent roads and great scenery to go with it.
we took that road in August last year, we had a weekend at Jedburgh, lovley roads, stopped in the layby just before you turn right down that unclassified road "by the AA box, ill add some on here if you don't mind ColinBR just so people can see some of the stunning views and roads you really have,
Well not far from it mate. I had my dads van with me so I didn't get ma car covered in salt. I swear every time I drive it I get sea sick the way it sways all over the place
Here, we took this road as a little detour on the way to Moffat, slow riding with Grass growing in the middle but views, oh the views
Wish I had taken my good camera down with me it was stunning and the camera phone didn't do it any justice.
Did you get a chance to go the Moffat mountain roads on the way to Biggar? It's probably my favourite road. I'm always down that way.
Same here it was minus 2 and that was at 1.30 in the afternoon. Never mind though a few more weeks and the beast will be out of it's prison and back on those roads.
No, sadly we got turned around at the roundabout, there was a fatal on that road so we went back to Selkirk and did the reverse of the planned route, im a bit anal when it comes to routes, everything has to be spot on, went down that little unclassified and turned left to Moffat, the heaven opend "as part of any August Bank Holiday" now that roads a licence taker, bloody heck its mint oop north Lovley part of the country you live in there ColinBR
Thanks mate. If your ever up here again let me know and we'll meet up somewhere for a blast and some banter.
Yup it can do that to you. It tends to bring the best/worst out of you on that road Moffat is a great place for a meet up on bikes. There always loads of bikes there in the warmer weather, and plenty of places to go for a bite to eat.
