    hi this was removed off my 13 plate , its in good nick , and its the full system cost well over a £1k , so looking at a reasonable price. wanting £600 ono .

    The brown discolouration is a give away that it's stainless , titanium would have a lovely blue colour from the heat of the exhaust

    Thats ti above. Plus if you are still unsure when you tap stainless it will give a slight ding. Titanium gives a quiet thud sound.

    Use a magnet on it..magnet will stuck to a stainless and not to a titanium metal

    Keith thats not strictly speaking true either. There are two types of stainless steel on the market. One is magnetic the other isnt.

    "Due to this difference, ferritic stainless steels are generally magnetic while austenitic stainless steels usually are not. A ferritic stainless steel owes its magnetism to two factors: its high concentration of iron and its fundamental structure."

    thanks for the reply lads and ive tried a magnet and it doesn't stick , lol , I just wanted to know if I sold it I just wanted to be genuine with the buyer.

    You should be able to tell just by the weight, titanium is feather light!

    it is really light , but theres no marks on the can to give any clues either , lol

    Definitely looks like Stainless, titanium exhausts always blues after heat cycles. Another way to check is that Akrapovic ti pipes are Evo systems, I can't remember them ever coming with baffles.

    yes , but I just didn't know what metal was , its a shame it wont fit my new bike as it sounds spot on .
