I already fitted a Taylormade which sounds sweet and does away with the lump on the back end not forgetting to mention the reduction in weight of the old can Rearsets are on my list of upgrades, any recommendations - sites etc?
On a 08 she will be ready for lines anyway, As a cheaper option I bought a second hand pair of Brembo M4s off a 2016 GSXR, thinking they would fit, they dont. so I would say lines and decent pads.
I recommend HEL brakes lines. buy them directly from HEL's website. As in regards to rearsets, i would go for R&G, but in all honestly it comes down to looks and quality. Don't buy chinese rearsets
Might as well add to the bling pictures, she's almost back in road trim. Dave - Does this mean your underslung rear Brembo set-up will be going begging?
Did you ever have a use for the lines i sent with it? Id stripped the bike to sell but think i might keep it now!
Would really appreciate that bud! Let me know how much with postage etc and il send some paypal monies over.
These are going on the TT bike for this season and not the road bike.... so rear HPK staying for a while longer.... soz
Nice set-up. I see your front brake line is routed in front of the fork rather than behind. Is there a reason for that? Seems a tad dangerous as it could be the victim of flying debris. (Just my view, of course.)
Reporting back with a bit of egg on my face . After praising Honda's OEM front brakes, I now understand the Brembo issue on taking my MV out for a while today. The Brembos (to me) have a much softer feel with distinctly better braking with less effort. I was actually astounded at the difference. I now know some calipers aren't just calipers. The learning curve keeps climbing!
